Twenty minutes before a viewing, follow these steps and you will be ready for "Show and Sell"
- Light fire (between September and April)
- Switch on appropriate exterior and interior lights regardless of time of day
- Set heat to 68-70 degrees F, or air conditioner at 75 degrees F.
- Check dining room table setting
- Set kitchen table for one
- Clear kitchen counters except for display items
- Activate potpourri
- Conceal dog or cat bowls and empty kitty litter
- Empty waste baskets
- Switch on music
- Light candles (in a safe place)
- When the agent arrives with the prospective buyers, make your exit. Go for a walk, visit a neighbour or take a drive, but please be an “invisible” vendor. Clients will stay longer, talk more freely, remember more about your home and feel less like intruders if you are out of the house.
